Alison Jackson's books for older children

Alison Jackson's first book was published in 1990. As a children's librarian she wrote what she felt was needed most: an early chapter book for the not-too-hard, not-too-easy shelves featuring a male protagonist. Her next two books were sequels using the same characters and designed for close to the same ages. But in 1997 Alison switched genres and published her first picture book, a play on an old nursery rhyme coupled with a holiday theme.
